Yasemin Arın

SHi, I am Yasemin. I am a Learning Designer at ATÖLYE Academy. I love designing human-centered journeys and systems, listening to people, and developing creative solutions. Seeing the big picture and inclusiveness are very important to me. I am most excited about being part of communities that do not lose faith in each other even when facing the most complex problems and have strong communication.

Yasemin has joined ATÖLYE Academy as a trainee in 2020. Her road crossed with ATÖLYE as her awareness and interest in Human-Centered Design increased during her university years.

Her journey at ATÖLYE began a role in the Learning Community project, and she currently supports the coordination of the community’s communication, programs and event. She also creates content for Academy newsletters and works as a Learning Designer at the Academy.

After completing her high school education at the Galileo Galilei Italian High School in Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, Yasemin went after her love for Italy and enrolled in the Polytechnic University of Turin to study Industrial Design and Communication Design. Thanks to her courses and the interdisciplinary environment around her, she realized that she was thrilled by the idea of developing sustainable systems and services rather than industrial design. She had the opportunity to apply her ideas in these fields during her time working with the famous Italian coffee company Lavazza. Today, Yasemin enjoys discovering things while striving to keep inclusivity and innovation in focus in the projects she is involved.

Another passion of Yasemin is music. She plays the guitar, bendir, and ukulele and writes her own songs. She also loves dancing to electronic music.
