Cihan Koral

Cihan Koral engages in change processes as a partner experienced in designing/implementing inclusive and emergent processes.

She works for organizations in capacity building, conflict resolution, human rights, and dialogue through nature-based mechanisms for change management systems. She combines her expertise on facilitation methods such as Cynefin, Theory U, Deep Democracy, Open space technology, Art of Hosting, Sociocracy, Human Systems Design, Socratic Dialog, Circle, and Nonviolent Communication with projects focused on social change. She collaborates with NGOs, civil society actors, social enterprises, the private sector, and others.

She is also a co-founder of Hasat, an NGO aiming at disseminating facilitation frameworks through co-design and co-facilitation with a participatory and interactive approach. Hasat works towards building the capacity of actors and fosters change by increasing the communities’ capacity for complexity. It also offers continuous learning as a Community of Practice. It encourages networking, collaboration, and co-creation and fosters sustainable change and leadership by convening relevant initiatives and stakeholders.

Cihan completed her undergraduate degree in International Relations and Political Science at Boğaziçi University. She continued to study European Integration and Development at Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium, and later on European Social Policy at KU Leuven University, where she studied with a Jean Monnet Scholarship.
