Ahmet Kaplan

Hi, I’m Ahmet. I am the Learning Community Trainee at ATÖLYE Academy. I love photographing things that sense and express the moment, approaching anything around me with empathy, and working to create a positive social and environmental impact. I enable the communication between partners and support operations in the Learning Community. I believe that I am in the age of exploration and experience, so I try to experience and make sense of things as much as possible.

Ahmet joined ATÖLYE Academy as a trainee to provide operational support for the second edition of the Learning Community, where he tries to open fresh perspectives to unsolved problems. He continues his undergraduate education in International Trade at Boğaziçi University. He grew curious about sustainable development and social ecology issues and attended courses in this field.

Ahmet has been a freelance photographer since 2018 and has had the opportunity to collaborate with leading companies in the industry such as VOGUE, BMW, Red Bull Turkey, Fortune Turkey. He has a wide range of networks from small businesses to industry leaders and has added video production to the services he provides. His works were shared on platforms that reach hundreds of thousands of people, and he received local awards.

During his university life, Ahmet had experience in working as part of multicultural teams, leading them and establishing connections that transcend identities thanks to his activities in international and local voluntary organizations. He is the leader of social and environmental initiatives at ESTIEM (European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management), Europe’s largest industrial design and management organization, reaching more than 60,000 students.

Ahmet loves brewing coffee around the time when the morning sun illuminates the kitchen counter, getting lost in streets with his camera, photographing the urban texture, and listening to electronic music. Spending time in nature and traveling are some of the activities he enjoys most.
