Ahmet Akın

Hello, I am Ahmet. I love learning new things and following what is new. It relishes me to meet different people. I love sharing my learnings. It is a joy to explain and convey. It excites me to accompany people in a development journey. When I act as a facilitator in environments where there is reciprocal learning, I also grow.

Blending his experience in international network agencies in the communication sector for a long time with his studies on education and development, Ahmet has been working as a consultant and facilitator for ATÖLYE projects since 2020.

He graduated from Istanbul German High School in 1988 and Boğaziçi University’s Department of Business Administration in 1992. He completed an MBA at the University of Rochester – Simon Business School in 1994.

Ahmet started his advertising career at Güzel Sanatlar / Saatchi & Saatchi. He then served as the Vice President of TBWA Istanbul, where he worked for 9 years. Between 2009 and 2013, he worked as the CEO of Leo Burnett Istanbul. He was the director of Kramp Agency, which he founded in 2014, until 2020.

Ahmet was the President of the Advertising Foundation between 2010 and 2013, and he supported the advertising industry as a member of the Board of Directors of the Advertising Self-Regulatory Board. Between 2013 and 2017, he taught at the Brand School, the Marketing Communications Master’s Program at Bilgi University.

A trainer in leadership and skills development, Ahmet also works as one of the trainers of The School of Life program developed by Alain de Botton and caters his Co-Creation workshop model to institutions.

He has been acting as a conference moderator in addition to his role as a workshop facilitator. He participated in conferences such as Brand Conference, Brandweek, Crystal Apple (Kristal Elma), Peryön Human Management Congress, ICF (International Coaching Federation) Coaching Conference, EMCC (European Mentoring & Coaching Council) as a speaker or moderator.

Ahmet’s thought and practice are influenced by the systems approach. He enjoys contemplating and making inferences on system design, which he likes observing in both micro and macro scales.
