Mehmet Akal is a founding partner at Prolivus Learning and Development Solutions. Mehmet has been working as a consultant and trainer since 1998.
Mehmet is currently helping large enterprises to identify digital strategies for their business. In order to lead next-generation enterprises, Mehmet provides consultancy services to transform company culture. These services include c-level and management-level training and immersive development programs, as well as company-wide innovation and corporate entrepreneurship programs. He incorporates design thinking, lean start-up for enterprises, design sprints, business model design, and jobs to be done methodologies into the programs he designs and delivers.
Mehmet has worked with large enterprises on training, development, and talent management since 2008. Some clients he served are Apple, Bayer, BNP Paribas (TEB), CignaFinans, Coats, Denizbank, Ericsson, HSBC, Pfizer, Philip Morris International, Reckitt Benckiser, Sanofi, Unilever, and Vodafone.
He was the managing partner of Girişim Training and Consultancy Centre between 1998 to 2008. At Girişim, he worked with entrepreneurs and medium-sized family business owners. Mehmet is one of the first start-up consultants in Turkey. He worked on many different projects that were funded by the government, European Union (EU), and United Nations Development Program (UNDP). He provided start-up and accelerator training programs and mentoring for thousands of entrepreneurs all over the country. He also provided business advisory services to medium-sized family businesses on business strategy & marketing planning.
Mehmet is also one of the senior consultants of the UK-based global company, The Oxford Group, providing management training, leadership development, and executive coaching to the world’s leading companies. Mehmet also designs and delivers “Leading in a Digital Age” products for senior leaders and middle managers.
Mehmet Akal holds a BA degree in Business Administration and Management from Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey. He completed an executive education program at Columbia Business School on Digital Strategies for Business, Leading the Next Generation Enterprise. He also completed another executive education program at MIT on Digital Transformation: Platform Strategies for Success. Mehmet Akal is married with two children.
